Raina Hawthorne is a Registered Physiotherapist, wife, and mother to two beautiful girls. She blends her knowledge and skills as a Physiotherapist with her intuition and experiences as a mother to provide her patients with care that considers and respects the whole person. She encourages her patients to trust in themselves and be active in their own treatment plans.
Raina completed a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Lethbridge, graduating with Honours. She went on to complete a Master’s in Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta. Once practicing as a Physiotherapist, Raina completed further specialized training to follow her passion for helping women and is registered to practice as a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist. She has also completed training in Physiotherapy support for breastfeeding. She uses her personal experiences and challenges from breastfeeding her own daughters to complement her formal training to help her patients reach their breastfeeding goals. She is certified to perform acupuncture and dry needling and can integrate these techniques into any physiotherapy treatment.
Raina loves spending time with her family, is a long-time yogi, and an avid runner. She is (slowly) working toward resuming triathlons after a break following the birth of her daughters. She loves getting to know her patients and is happy to answer any questions you may have!
